PBL presentation

Hi and welcome back! Today I will be showing you my PBL Presentation. This taught me a lot and I worked with my good friend Isabella. Isabella and I had to base our question on (How can we use our hands, heart and head to become a healthier me?). Isabella and I came up with this question "How come we think some food is healthy when it's not? So please enjoy reading what we have learnt.

Winter sport 2018

Welcome back to Makayla's blog

We have just finished trails for winter sports it was so much fun I got into netball B team it was awesome at least I did not get into the C or D team.
My friend Caterina got in to.
We had our first game on Thursday we lost sadly but it was fun we just had to try and win next week.
Now back to the year it is 2018 already can't believe it but I better believe it. It is so exciting I am a year 6 hey I am still in Tumu.

Student teacher's in Tumu

Student teacher's 
Hey all on November the 6th 3 new student teachers came to Tumu there names are
Mr Williams,  Miss Trotman, and Miss K.

Mr Williams went into Miss Kearsley classroom, Miss Trotman went to Mrs Roach's classroom, and in 

my class was Miss K. We have been doing lots of fun stuff

and they have been teaching new things and they join in on our workshops so they know what we do in literacy time and in our spare time. This is changing ever so quickly and it happened so fast but we have really enjoyed are time with them, we learn new skills learn new games to play and is is just so much fun I hope these 3 student teacher's become a teacher and to me they already are teachers.

My family treasure.

Last week we brought in our family treasure's to school and present it to everyone in our  class. We all asked questions to our parents to find out lots of information about there family treasure. Everyone has a different tipes of treasure's they might have been past down from there great grandma or grandad and there is also the time when you make your own family treasure. 

My family treasure is a pearl necklace from the sea in rarotonga.
It was past down to my grandma that I had never ever meet when she died it got past down to my dad he protected it because he loved her so much. When it was my mum and dad's wedding they gave it to me to wear I was only 1. It was past down from many people ever since it was picked from the ocean it is very special to me because every time I look at it I can sometimes imagine her in my head and I only have her wedding photo I love her and I always will.
